I guess that I should leave you alone.
You’d probably be the same on your own.
It’s just another crutch for you to hold.
I guess you fell in love, or so I’m told.
Everybody came and left for home.
Everything’s the same, except your tone.
Why’s it always wrecked when you’re involved?
It’s what I would expect, ignore my calls.
All I can do
to keep this room
from spinning around
is place my foot on the ground.
You made another call to someone else.
Guess it was a friend you meant to tell.
Said you liked the way the pictures looked.
Reminded you of life inside some book.
Now I’m getting sick of every word.
Telling me a lie that someone heard.
So go ahead and run because you’re scared.
Even though it’s me who’s unprepared.
