Keep Me Company

In the dark, chill of the night
I sat and thought of her.
And the things that I never say
For fear of feeling pain.
You wait, you pace, you contemplate.
You live, you learn, you make mistakes.
On a walk to the higher road
I found a piece of me.
And what was I to do?
Except give it to you.
