Worth More Than Gold

What are colors, flowing in the stream
Nothing more, than a currency
Or so some say, from the deep blue sea
I say different, strands to be
All relative, each has their own tune
Will sing no matter, in the fullest moon
Don’t really care, if dawn, dusk or noon
Shallow and deep, the long lost loon
On the riverbank, are statues aplenty
Some say they’re trees, but if you look closely
The only growth, are the vines that crawl
Covering masks, hide the universal law
Free will some say, just another game
Follow the script, a part to play
After too many, drops have made
Letting the water, flow over my grave
Getting clear again, reclaiming the old
Layers uncovered, past the mold
Does it work, was it too cold
Light your fire, worth more than gold
