Let It Ride

All of these worlds, jumbled together
Confusion reigns, call it the weather
The sun and rain, play their game
Stuck in between, feeling strange
Of so many rules, nobody can count
Surface and hidden, they seem to sprout
From so many fears, illusions and real
Only one that matters, instinct to feel
From somewhere deep inside
Surrounded by a dozen sides
If it could, I think it’d fly
Until then, will let it ride
Go down one path, before you know it
Consuming all, it has no limit
Over and over, bubble and burst
How to escape, is it a curse
Maybe yes or no, nobody does know
Find a few friends, when rowing a boat
Which direction to choose, in a world of blue
Connect with stars, beyond the moon
From somewhere deep inside
Surrounded by a dozen sides
If it could, I think it’d fly
Until then, will let it ride
Some say a dream, get your feet on the ground
Walk the streets, when nobody is found
A thousand steps, before you can see
Anything different, than chosen trees
Follow birds, who’ve escaped the land
Gone much farther, no need to stand
Just a few flaps, filling the gap
Letting it go, out of the trap
From somewhere deep inside
Surrounded by a dozen sides
If it could, I think it’d fly
