Before It Will End

When the sun comes up on another day
Wake up get started, be on your way
Where it will end, you never can tell
The stories and songs, before hearing the bell
Get outta your place and past the hedge
Perspectives to find, on your own tread
Sunny and storms, go through it all
Knowing the difference, hearing the call
Before it will end
And start another trend
Getting higher with each string
Until nothing, is left within
It might seem tragic, it might seem lame
Walking and limping, not playing the game
Just going a bit further, than what’s already been done
No longer the same, too much of the sun
Either that or as pale as a ghost
The only heat from fire and circles of smoke
A hermit to play, straying to stay
Another reset done, something to say
Before it will end
And start another trend

Until nothing, is left within
The years go by, things start to add up
Changed so many times, emptied the cup
Was it worth it, can’t say until done
One thing for certain, the journey is much more fun
