Of Each and Every Dream

I’ll have my coffee, sometime after dark
A drink in the morning, happy hour starts
Drive cross the country, without any sleep
Fish in the rain, no shallow all deep
Some say slow down, smell the flowers
Around me, nature screams
What can I say when climbing the towers
Of each and every dream
I’ll cross some lines, to see if they’re real
Tell a few jokes, show how I feel
I’ll pay all my dues, then burn up the lists
Seek out the fool, without any tricks
Mostly a stranger, with nothing to lose
Adapting to, the new scene
If down anyway, I’ll laugh with the loons
Of each and every dream
I’ll disappear, without leaving a trace
May reappear, with a different face
Had dozens of jobs, all kinds of perspectives
Maybe too far, a detour directive
Some say I should settle on just one thing
Just like, a machine
Hard to do with so many bells to ring
