The rain keeps falling, for many a day
The dripping never seems to stop
How long it will last, cleansing away
Overflowing the driest cup
Through rivers and valleys, gravity leads
Bending and falling strong
Eventually ending at the sea
The start of another song
Dripping and pouring, wind in the leaves
Branches are breaking, the howling breeze
Sooner or later, all has to cease

The power goes out, the lines are down
Candles to light the way
One step at a time, shelter inclined
Finding the home for strays
Who never find refuge, when weather is fine
This is just another run
Might seem a little better, when levels unwind
Feeling alive is more fun

Into a new found home

Reaching the top, no more branching
Finally stop to look around
