Dancing With the Loon

Are you afraid to close your eyes
Opened up to what’s inside
In a cage or to fly
The spider knows the rules
Up a hill or sitting still
Catch the moment in a thrill
So much more, than to kill
A monkey, born too soon
How to know, the strings to catch
Leaping much too soon
Nothing more, than a surface batch
Diving with the loon
Surfing through every wave
From the gravel or the paved
So many lies, say you’re saved
When you’re stuck, in the cocoon
Waiting for the next spring
All the lines and signs to bring
When you hear, chaos ring
Howl, at the moon
How to know, the strings to catch
Leaping much too soon
Nothing more, than a surface batch
Diving with the loon
Some will say, it’s much too deep
Most will stop, when to weep
Letting go, for the sweep
The floor, at high noon
See the windows, open wide
You can’t ignore, thoughts to fly
Breaking through, the bluest sky
The flute, plays a tune
