Hey there trees, always so green
What do you know, what have you seen
Through the years, too many to count
Seasons change, but you don’t

Lifting water, to a higher scene
With the sun, will overflow
Always sweet, a golden glow

Drink from the sun, your energy
All of us, derivative spirals
Left to fight, an infinite trial

With your roots, do you agree
Connecting strands, to feel the land
To the core, a diamond hand

What do you feel, for humanity
A clock or chair, a valued harvest
But lost in being, a primitive conquest

With your help, I’m planting seeds
May they escape the net, the canopy
And find their own, place to be
