Eight Hours from Omaha

These midwest fields role on forever
Framed by circles traced in foggy glass
This scene becomes far too familiar
I don’t know how much longer this can last
In time we’ll find
There’s more to life beyond the weekend
It’s part-time dreams now or nothing
And nothing is free
It seems time’s been stealing all of my dreams
I’m victimized within my narrowed mind
