Several years ago
I thought I was alone.
Thought I’d never figure out my way.
But now I’m looking back
At everything I’ve lacked
And now I understand that it’s ok.
If you ever make it to the center of the world.
I doubt that anyone has ever tried.
Well, all I ask is that you do your best to hear me out.
Keep a steady pace, a smile on your face
and nothing in your pockets to slow you down.
When life seems tough to bear.
It treats you so unfair.
It’s difficult to see the positives.
But try not to give up
Even when your luck
Is down who knows when it might turn around?
