White Picket Fences

Bugs were in the garden mingling with the flowers.
We were just another part of their world.
Green covered box lawns, trees to give them shade,
And white picket fences that keep me from you.
Easy does it Sunday, your friends think we’re wrong,
But what good’s advice if you don’t know the truth?
Every road is winding and not always lit.
Storms will throw your course off, but just for a bit.
Smile at your neighbor, lend them your hand.
Refrain from the judgement cause we’re all the same.
Love like it’s on fire, laugh like it’s a joke,
And live like tomorrow’s the day that you’ll croak.
