Trying a new thing, so hard to do
No escaping, from playing a fool
Every lesson learned, at your own expense
Humility ingrained, from the audience
No bother to make any more waves
Diving deeper, away from betrays
Peaking up, every once in while
See if anyone can see the smile
From moving forward, no matter how small
Anything to help, climbing the wall
Or busting through, exposing what’s true
Planting new seeds, roots digging too
Sometimes it doesn’t work out, all are leaving
Nobody sticking around for extra innings
It’s no matter, what did you expect
Out of the park, first time at bat
Nothing wrong with singles and doubles
All relative, depending where you’ve started
Here’s a little secret, of what it’s really worth
Learning how to fail, while never giving up
Keeping a little extra, maintaining the big picture
Knowing when to sprint, away from resistance
The trip so short, for making the transition
Too many distractions, to find your own destination
