Good Morning, Good Night

I don’t care anymore, I’ve lost everything
The only thing left, is this song I sing
Take it for what’s worth, it may not be much
But in the end, we’re all another worms lunch
It won’t take long, just a minute or three
If you don’t like it, at least it was free
So here it goes, without further delay
The story I’ve had, since I got up today
It started at dawn, everything was alright
Until I realized, it was dusk shining bright
What happened last night, sure must have been fun
My legs are all tired, was I on the run
I don’t really remember, but that’s how it goes
All blending together, the highs and the lows
Keep moving forward, the only thing to do
When you have nothing left, making up the new
Sometimes you have longer, others are short
The moments you have, what are they worth
A blink and they’re gone, a star shooting bright
