Where Am I?

Lonely,
Lonely all alone I lay here,
In this place,
Of darkness,
Dark and cold and empty’s
the Starless Night
Where… Where am I?
Desperately,
I wander through the emptiness,
For sign of grace,
Still searching.
Screaming,
Calling to the infinite,
yet no reply,
I’m all alone.
Crying,
Curled up, left to die here,
in this hell.
Longing,
one last glimpse of home again,
That’s all I pray.
Alas
Goodbye, blue eyes.
(Accepting her fate, Char prepares to let the cold, vast emptiness consume her.
However, she begins to feel again, hearing returns to her, and light begins to
pierce the veil of darkness)
Sight,
Returns to me,
In this hallway,
So familiar
A doorway,
Comes to greet me,
So familiar,
Am I home?
I enter,
The doorway,
to a room so,
Familiar,
My name’s called, by a
voice so familiar
And I wonder,
Could it be?
(Entering into her apartment, Char believes she sees her boyfriend,
and joy returns to her. Yet something does not entirely feel right,
and when he comes out from around the corner, Char’s face goes pale.)
You’re not the one.
(This is not Char’s multiverse. She’s not home yet…)
