Burns away my flesh
Bursting the stitches
Salted wounds afresh
Disfigured and contorted
A nameless heap of flesh
The body
Unneeded
For what happens next
An essence
Vacates the living shell
Unguided
Destination too obscure to tell
My mind
My body
My heart
My soul
Your home
Your eternity
Your rotted bones
The sky
Tears open
To a burning sun
Staring
At the light
It all becomes one
Forgetting
The body
The cosmos
Offers its hand
Shooting out into the void
At the speed of light
Unbounded by the vessel that
Once held you tight
Beyond the border
Beyond the shell
A vast expanse of nothingness
An eternity of hell
