There was a shining light, illuminating the long path —
Back to a world where he once belonged.
A clear and focused memory of a life
That was hurt, deserted and wronged.
Was this light a sign
That there is hope for a new beginning —
That being born is to live, not to die!
That yesterday’s story yields failure,
But that today’s brings a desire to try
To do things, in a way that we never accepted before —
