I am the rose
Grown on the sea
Revived, kissed rain
Made love, made change
I am street lights
In the dark nights
Glass verbs, worn words
Tired eyes, no lies
It’s beautiful how everything lives and dies, subtle yet true
It makes me brood about the time
I’ve wasted chasing thoughts with you
My crimson flamed counterpart
The night we loved, it preserved my youth
A blaze we made, the chaos trail
I lost my way, counting my wounds
Foundation fabricates from hurt
Can’t learn safety without being scared
We ran away from florescence
Our sleeping minds observed by childish words
The lullaby we hummed yet screamed
The fragile truth we chose to ignore
Acknowledge all our best mistakes
In streetlights that we used to avoid
I am aware for the first time
Gliding down from this pedestal
And I’m laying on an ocean of change
I’m ready to be someone else

The tides of faces playing a tug of war

Into the azure painted streets
