The best of friends
So I hope you know
That I’ve been looking for a reason to let go
Of all the years
You stayed afloat
But the raft is losing inches
Supplies are running low
You say I dress well for a man for my age
But there’s no one to miss me, near in my grave
And that song I remember as I drift away
The universe has to leave here
Where the other can’t follow on
And somehow file from here on in
That we’v a past to reflect upon
I’m moving in differnt directions
But we were planted in the same place
And maybe I’ll see you in a new year
But with my chance, we’re moving at the same pace
