Lonely: A Letter

I assure you I’ve never been so lonely before,
I’m sorry my words come out a jumbled bore
And you’re left wanting more
Now I’ll recite a poem
And hope you here a chord with gorgeous harmony.
Just think of the fields of flowers because
your worry causes more harm to me
Than anything in the ETO actually
but I’m thinking of you this evening
Cause it’s you I’m fighting for
I have to bite my cheek at the thought of september
To keep the tears from surfacing I can still remember.
Don’t think too much. Its still the same.
And though my heart it aches for you
You’re still the man I always knew
It hasn’t been as long as than you think
You’re the one I’m fighting for
But I’m afraid times cut short
Pour me out on this page
So I can mean what I say
I care for you and I’m fighting hard
A bullet through my beating heart
You say «Don't think» Don’t even start
To tell me its not that hard.
