To My Eyes

Where, where does time go?
It seems like only days ago
Burnt images in my mind.
Their bitterness doesn’t get sweeter over time.
Blinded by the curses
And I try too hard to write my verses
Death is gain, bring on the hearses
A million miles a second my mind runs until it submerges
To the hell I created the day that I hated
Demonstrated pending brokenness I’m fucked up
Who knows where the water, if broken, will end up.
«What happened to your eyes?
They took a shift to cloudy skies.»
When I walk into the room
No one has a clue or an idea what I’ve been through.
«I'll tell you what happened to my eyes.
Its what happens when my mind flies
Away from me at night
Never a peaceful time
Now I’m just praying for the sun rise
To take me away.»
Sometimes silence is fair
We all should have some time in there.
And think about our seemingly insignificant lives as they go by
And I’ll shut my mouth.
For the first time I found clarity.
In a life of disparity.
And then I interject violently and shout again
«I can’t believe this,
My brain is fine so why isn’t his?»
Back to the hell I created
The day that I hated
Demonstrated battles don’t end so easily
Some take a lifetime of endlessly fighting desperately
Just last night or was it days ago?
I sat down at the table and this is what I wrote.
