Where does your willow grow
Is it weeping like me
It’s youth you stole
You stole
Emotionless leaves
Fall far from the tree
How could you bring
This curse and the seeds
We may never know
The ant can stay below
I’ll stay with my tree
And continue to grow
Plant the seeds
In my memory
Grow what you gave
What you gave to me
This gift at first
Seemed like the worst
But over time
I could see it’s worth
My eyes wide open
I see no curse
A shedding tree
Who’s in rebirth
Look at us now
See us trees
Incredibly green
Growing new leaves
Now moving this ground
We head for the clouds
Into the skies
We rise
Plant the seeds
In my memory
