Where at first glance you would never notice his pain
He had dreams and plans perfectly set in stone
That got crushed and left his spirit above plunging below
The doctor said
Sorry boy but you’ve been diagnosed with epilepsy
So any dreams of driving or joining the military
You’re going to have to throw away or put on hold
This news brought him to rock bottom alone on a new road up in the cold
I didn’t know what to do so I turned to God
How come out of all your children my dreams were the ones that died
My dreams weren’t the ones that strived I got to be the one that cries
These words hit him on the blindside and now he questions life
