I don’t know what’s happened to the kids today
We were different from the kids today
In every way
We didn’t have none of this crazy music
We didn’t have none of these crazy clothes
We didn’t have guys getting high on the doorstop
We didn’t have none of those no, no
I don’t care for these long haired guys
They need a good bath
They got shifty eyes
They’re either sleeping in the park
Begging in th street
Or they’re speeding 'round town in a Lotus Elite
(Wre'd they get the money from anyway?)
I can’t say that I fought for kids like you in the war

I would have thought that after fifty-five years
A body could expect some kind of respect
