The Jungle

Closer to my goals
Took a thousand roads
Predators stay lurking in the fold
And friends turning foes
Woah things are heating up for me so
They wanna leave me cold
They don’t wanna grow so I gotta go. Gotta stay low
Tryna get high not get smoked
I’ve been through the woods, struggling to eat, sleep-
Tryna upkeep my sense of sanity. The maintenance fee ain’t cheap
Took the college route & this path will soon complete-
On lynch street, a dead end
Unless I find some way to cut through these trenches
I’m losing hope, I’m too broke, using every tool that I can find
Shrouded by these trees I try climb and always fall behind
Others made it. How they’d they do it? Steady falling. Feeling stupid
No matter what I’ll get through it! I swear man it’s a jungle out here
I ain’t worried momma taught me to survive!
Told me I can scape' this jungle all I gotta do is fly! Uh!
Anything is possible that’s why I am alive yea!
I’m lost in this jungle… where do I go?
I can escape this jungle man I know man I know!
I… I am floating down this stream
Thinking bout my dreams
Looking up staring at the falling leaves
From all the trees we climb
Trying to find a place to go to escape this jungle
Most just stay here because it’s all they know
But we can be more
If I make it out I’ll be the first of my family
Daily struggles, clouding my vision I cannot stand to see
Planting seeds, hoping one will grow into an exit
Stressing, stressing, stressing that’s all I’ve been digesting
My escape is getting nearer, clearer. I can tell
Cause this jungle side looks calmer & the people here look well
My dreams are visible within the mirror
The success I manifested is reflecting in this river
Then my raft crashes. Drowning thrashing
Everything I built is scattered
Big disaster. Bruised & battered
Savages are coming after
Running so I don’t captured. Lost again but it don’t matter
This is just another life chapter! I swear man it’s a jungle out here
