sense her stumbling on stones ripe with moss, you stare
eyes surrender
faltered step far beyond safety net she’s absorbed
slinking slowly, far below thee, lull.
parts of pieces of what was once stitched through her side
crumple softly
swarming fishes meet palms, tender toes screaming by
slinking slowly, far be-low thee
slips her hand
she’s melting from reach
oh, to never more, my salty deep darling
seaweed tentacles tangle the silk of her hair
watery bird’s nest
rocks and ridges of buried sharp secrets, her home
slinking slowly, far below thee
slipped her hand
she melted from reach
it never ends, my rotting bright darling
why have you gone, my moldy sweet darling?
you’ll always be my salty deep darling
bones to age’d fossils
rest the sea floor more
