you came to me with a bird in hand
without a sun and sky to guide him home
i said to you «i made the earth, surely i
can make the sky for his flight»
one sky so blue, i made the moon
control the tides, splash sea to land on me
we can pull the heavens apart to find our sun
we can ache for early morn with everyone
we will take the atoms and press them together with our hands
we will form the fire into a sphere to light the lands
