Whitstable Bay

I took you down to the sea,
Away from the crowds and the city.
We went to see what we could be,
And what we’ve been before.
A fairytale for us to write,
An escape from the dull,
That come with daylight.
And thought the night is hard to trust,
Somehowb that’s right for us.
Will this blow away like before?
This isn’t me, this isn’t you,
And it’s easy to blame yourself,
For the things you didn’t do.
There is a sign on both our heads.
It says «I won’t forget».
But there’s a hand outstretched to you,
And a heart that beats,
And a page that’s brand new.
Sometimes it’s hard to see the good,
When it’s right there,
Infront of you.
Will this blow away like before?
