God Was a Child

God was a child
He toddled every place
Digging up rocks
And throwing them in space
They tumbled and turned
Alighting without sound
So God hummed a tune
So rocks could dance around
The dance made a spark
Into life
That shattered the night
It scattered its seed
Over the rock
To root in the dark
So God clapped his hands
Pleased with what he saw
He gathered the light
And make a fireball
He held it up high
A sparkle on the rocks
They twinkled in his eyes
And opened up his heart
God kicked the ball
Into the void
The darkness destroyed
Matter and light
Started a fight
The cosmos was born
