Am I rising just to fall away
Your words are foreign to me
Once we were together
I tried to hold my own
Against a soul at play
I gave you away
Talk without suspicion
And nobody will be wise
It was a good line to say
It carried the day
Another soulless
Baptized in front of me
Words are not believed
Sometimes the bodies cleanse
Sometimes the water does grow dim
