A rainy day in Philly
The perfect place to be
The future out in front of us
The past left out to sea
I don’t sleep until morning
And stay till afternoon
Living life nocturnal
Like a wild raccoon

Not a dollar in my pockets
Scrounge together a dime
A rainy day in St Johns town
A glimmer of hope in your eye
A puppy sat beside me
Next to nothing on my mind
At least life is quiet right now
Hopefully it stays for a while
