Responsibilities

If there’s something that I’ve come to learn
It’s our own fault when we get burnt
Will we take responsibility? Will we learn?
If there’s something that I need to try
Crush those feelings and hold my head high
Can’t be running on fire all of my life
If there’s something we should realise
They’re all a mess inside too
The only difference is whether you keep on trying too
If there’s something that I’ve come to know
I make my own bed and guide my own fall
Will I accelerate or will I soften the blow?
