Maybe i could be somebody else
Trade this body for a couple days
Hide my baggage on the highest shelf
Swear they wouldn’t notice anyway
Maybe I could try some different shoes
And walk a mile with nothing to lose
I’d go back to all the places where I lost the kid I knew
And maybe make some old dreams come true
Maybe I been stuck on path that was destined to take me nowhere
Maybe I been lost in a game I can’t play for way too long
I know I shouldn’t think bout the things i coulda changed cuz it’s all too much
tonight
And if i changed them I’d still probably get it wrong
Maybe i could be somebody else
Tell some stories that I don’t regret

Drink some bottles that I won’t forget
Maybe i could find some different friends
Or just be better to the ones i have

And maybe say the right words instead
