Armor of God

In my distress I cry out
I call upon the LORD (Psalm 18: 6)
He readies me for battle
Trains my hands for war (Psalm 144: 1)
In Him I take my refuge
He is my shield, the horn of my salvation (Psalm 18: 2)
The cords of death encompass
The snares of sin confront me (Psalm 18: 4−5)
But I draw near to my God
Resist the devil; he will flee (James 4: 7−8)
No weapon formed against me will succeed (Isaiah 54: 17)
So put on the whole armor of God (Eph. 6: 11)
Stand firm (Eph. 6: 13)
As a good soldier (2 Tim. 2: 3)
Keep alert (Eph. 6: 18)
Fasten the belt of truth
The breastplate of righteousness
And as your shoes, put on the readiness
Given by the gospel of peace (Eph. 6: 14−15)
Take up the shield of faith
Defend against the evil one
And wear the helmet of salvation
Use the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God (Eph. 6: 16−17)
So stand firm (Eph. 6: 13)
Take up the armor of God (Eph. 6: 11)
We don’t fight against flesh and blood
But against the forces of the evil one (Eph. 6: 12)
As a good soldier (2 Tim. 2: 3)
Wage a good warfare (1 Tim. 1: 18)
With the armor of God
We wrestle against cosmic powers
Over this present darkness (Eph. 6: 12)
But Jesus equips us with strength (Psalm 18: 32)
The enemy we will overtake (Psalm 18: 37)
And our accuser will be thrown down (Rev. 12: 10)
