Tax Collector

Not everyone who says to Him,
«Lord, Lord» will enter in to the kingdom of heaven
But the one who does the will of His (Matt. 7: 21)
Father which is to believe in Jesus as God’s only Son (John 6: 40)
If you try to say you prophesied in His name
Did many mighty works and casted out demons (Matt. 7: 22)
Well I hope He won’t declare to you
«Depart from me, I never knew you,
Worker of wickedness» (Matt. 7: 23)
We’ve all sinned but we have redemption (Rom. 3: 23−24)
By the blood of Christ
By grace through faith (Rom. 3: 25)
Do you have a zeal for God
But it’s in ignorance
And not according to what is known?
Do you choose not to submit
To God’s righteousness?
Do you seek to establish your own? (Rom. 10: 2−3)

Two men went up to the temple to pray
One a Pharisee who boasted in his self-righteous ways (Luke 18: 10)
He said «God, I thank You that I’m not like other men (Luke 18: 11)
I pay my tithes and always keep far from sin» (Luke 18: 12)
The other a tax-collecting man
Stood far off wouldn’t even raise his eyes to heaven
«God, be merciful to me I’m a sinner but I believe» (Luke 18: 13)
He told us the truth
This man went home justified
And the Pharisee remained unchanged (Luke 18: 14)
Do you have a zeal for God
But it’s in ignorance
And not according to what is known?
Do you choose not to submit
To God’s righteousness?
Do you seek to establish your own? (Rom. 10: 2−3)
The way for our righteousness (our righteousness)
To exceed the Pharisees' (Matt. 5: 20)
From all our works we rest and believe (rest and believe, rest and believe)
