About Time

Gotten used to hesitation
Snooze every day
Get up late
Days filled with fluctuation
Sweet ebb and flow
Must undergo
Keep on staring blankly
Right at the wall
Persistent stall
Truthfully deceiving
That playful mind;
It’s so unkind!

Always waiting for the last minute
To make sure of the steepest possible climb
Know when to what, what to do how
Still they keep telling us that it’s about time
By now he would’ve had the throne
And ruled a kingdom of his own
Constant weary approach
Prone to postpone
