The Shepherd Song

I’m just a poor little shepherd boy
from Bethlehem, taking good care of all
the sheep so they can sleep without fear
cause I’ll be right here, I’ll stay right here
I have a secret within my heart
that no one knows about —
a longing, a dream of a mighty task
that will come my way. But the night is cold
and I’m all alone thinking that I’ll never
leave these fields. But what is this???
Angels fill the sky
singing praises to our God
in the highest and peace on earth
among every man in need of a Saviour
My heart beats like a heavy drum
I fall to the ground. They said something
about a child in a crib and wonderful
things that I don’t understand
I’ve got to see Him myself
Can’t wait to tell all my friends that

beauty of Heavens love in the face of this
baby child. I feel warm inside
