His hammer brought him change to feed his kids
And buy his wife a single rose every year
But the rose was not enough
To keep her love around
She left him for a man of higher class and took
The kids in spite of all of his tears
Never to return
But her story soon he’d learn

The children proved a burden to the man she’d left

So she took them to the river

Disgust met her actions, her new life was turned to
