Concerned you’d ask,
«Son what’s with your trembling hands?»
And I’d reply,
«Jesus Christ, I am a God fearing man,
and I’ve been scared stiff since I was a kid,
That hell is a place, made just to show grace
To a rigid list of,
Well intentioned Calvinists.»
And as it dies it’s in the mist,
It’s in the distance bringing all things into existence
It’s not, it won’t, it can’t exist
Spend enough time fully aware
That it existed
If it’s too hard to swallow
Take your leave
If damned halls may follow…
Perplexed you’d ask,
«Is that where you hang your head?
And I respond,
Oh my god, I’m too nervous to take a stand
And I’ve been anxious since
My father got sick,
When hell was a place
Made up to show grace
To those of us who just can’t
Oh, we’ve tried, but we just get behind a place like that
Seems this toils my life…
And if I start crying now
I may never stop
