Time

I don’t quite know what I am doing
I’m just trying to do something good
Looking for a clear a distinction
Between could, and would, and should
There’s beauty in the silence
But there’s bravery in the sound
And if you take it all too seriously
You get lost in the daily grind
Sometimes
I just have to laugh at where I’m taken
And I’m fine
I’m still a little new at this
But I’m learning to unwind
Have a little faith
And just take one day at a time
Feels like they put you on a train track
And then one day cut you loose
No direction, no new game plan
They don’t tell you what to do
And it’s hard to not have structure
It’s hard to just be still
When you find that you’re too desperate
The independence loses its thrill
