Endless Horizon

Roaring thunders tell a story
Legends whispered by the sands
Tales of the forgotten glory
Tales of the forgotten lands
Lonely hills abandoned graves
Greatness turned to dust
Greatness bemoaned by the waves
Glory covered with rust
Summon the light
Shine thru the night
So far away
Into the sky
But hope is here and yet
It’s so illusive, so erratic
Gallows prepared the stage is set
The death of hope is so dramatic
On the endless far horizon
Of ice so pale, so white
Ray of light shines thru the night
Burns thru the dark like a spark
Hope of day to come again
Moaning in the gloom
Whispers of a day bygone
Darkness clouds the moon
At the endless fields so hollow
Like fiddles form a choir
Winds are whistling chants of sorrow
Feeding the voracious fire
Bring us again
To existence and then
Revive our spirits
