Greed

I lack self control
Hearing someone can’t have something
Only makes me want it more
We’re consumed by greed
Taking more than we need
We’re all trapped by consumerism
Our state of mind is like a prison
I need help digging myself
Out of this self indulgent hole
But I found the answer
Stop taking sh*t for granted
Live your life the way the
Planet planned it
We’re living out of sync
And our minds are sick
Disease ridden
From the way we’re living
I take, take, take
More than I need
We’re a nation
Consumed by greed
My self awareness is getting worse
I lose controls of what I need
I’m getting worse
As I am digging my own grave
It’s only time till the toll is taken
And I am driven in a hearse
To my place of rest
Alone, with no one to miss me
Or mourn my passing
Because I only cared about myself
I didn’t leave a legacy of caring
I left a lie of what I was instead of what could of been
I take, take, take
More than I need
