Anybody who’s worth your tears won’t make you cry
These are words to live by
But from the moment that we arrive, we roll the dice
For some the well it runs dry
Here everybody keeps the cat in the bag, the faces zipped
In polite discretion
A still tongue keeps a wise head?
For appearances sake we keep it perfectly fake
And they say that blood is thicker than water
Then they take you straight to the slaughter
White picket fences from the outside looking in
They seem oh so genuine
But it’s a dollhouse

I’m climbing down this family tree
Falling apples are too much for me
