Summer Lane

the clock strikes one on my sundial
the shadows dance next to my bicycle
this breeze could carry me away
and leave my fickle feet astray
the hills are whispering my name
from a place called summer lane
my hands are sore from the machinery
my eyes are hungry for new scenery
i’ll grab my toothbursh and guitar
map out the trails of shooting stars
and when the wind picks up this way
i’ll set my sail for summer lane
