In Bloom

Tell me am I remembering or dreaming now?
Torn away with such violence but how
There’s a problem in this poetry
Too big now to ignore
For all the things that brought me here
Now push me to the floor
Has my dream become a nightmare?
Conflicting shadows loom
I’m in the spring of life maybe
But I cannot seem to bloom
Sakura wait for me
Don’t bloom now when I can’t join thee
Sakura would I could capture you
Keep your beauty for when this nightmare’s through
But first you bloom and then you fall
A glimpse of the divine is fleeting
All the faces just out of reach
And I’ve run eyes closed across the world
Chasing the memory of a dream
And you know that my closet it’s not empty
Oh the bones we could exhume
God help me, is it my blood or theirs
On which these flowers bloom?
