I lost my way
Sailing the other day
Blistering in the sun
Sinking one by one
Sun burnt cracked and bleeding
Waves up to my knees
Someone started screaming
For someplace they’d rather be
Then the world started shrinking around me
And that’s when I started sinking down into the sea
And I think to myself

Because I believed the sweet release would set me free
I woke hardly breathing
Sunbeams in my eyes
Weak, sick, slack and beaten
But somehow alive and dry
And I found my way
Back on that fateful day
It seems I’m the only one
To get back where I’d begun

And that’s when I started thinking with some clarity
