The Commute

I see the people as they stumble and they shuffle inside,
I see fathers I see mothers watch them all say goodbye,
I see them reading, see them sleeping see them weak and so tired,
I see these people who can’t wait until their day is done,
Now every stop they’re all aboard it seems their always coming and going,
Just like I do,

I see the law clocking speeders as they hide in the trees,
I see the slime that accompanies the corporate disease,

I see religion I see billboards and the men on the rails,
I see the blind getting by with all that entails,
I see the sports fans drinking liquor as they wait for the game,
I see all kinds and realize, we are all the same
