Quiver and Quake

Crumbling worlds hung over me
Waiting along there underneath
Nobody knocks upon the door
Don’t even know what we’re waiting for
Forever pulled from the back of beyond;
I’m just another come and gone
Follow the sunlight from the sky
Swallowed it all up in the life
And then the world it seems to quiver and to quake
We twist and turn away but never will escape
Hide in the trees, the name I know;
Watch as the sky begins to glow
Moving across the dusty earth
Waiting for something to occur
And then I hold it up, it’s there for all to see
All eyes come open, they’re returning from the dream
And then the dark descends, dripping from the sky
As it comes pouring in blackness fills my eyes

Everything slowly disappeared
Everyone wondered what was said
