I woke up sweating in the middle of the night.
My world’s been dark since you turn out the light.
Girl i remember, remember leaving with a whimper
And not with a shout.
It seemed like hours just to get through the door,
The tears i cried left stains on your floor.
What ever reasons, the sharp edge of feeling leaves
A scar when it cuts to the core.
Can’t speak the words of my heart.
I’m only here to sing about you girl.
And all we did was part,
But everything changed my world
Being alone is a hard deal,
And i believe that you’ll never know,
The days i spent with this empty feeling hoping that
Life will show
That everything’s fine in it’s own time,
Loneliness makes me stronger.
How can a wound like this heal at all by time.
My soul gets strangled in the web of my mind.
I’m keeping busy, doing what you do leaves me out here
In the eye of the storm.
If god is with me through the valley of the dead,
He should prevent this civil war in my head.
