Because of misery, I’ve seen people suffer
Lose their lands and their rights
Lose their houses and their children
With no strength left to
Hold their head up again
Here or there
I’ve realised that people
Were taken advantage
By using their blood
While the mothers swore
Theirs was the same

Alone and powerless in that world

And some night, there was so much pain around
That sadness took my heart away
